In 1999, a small group of women who met at the San Jose California PAH support group, decided to tackle a regional conference on their own. They established a committee and went to work.. The California conference which has been held every other year since its inception, will hold its 6th conference in June 2009.
The conference which is well-respected by the medical community, always receives high marks from those who attend. The topics are relevant and timely and a good opportunity to hear what the experts in the field have to say.
Two of the original organizers - Judy Vucci and Rita Orth - continue to serve the PAH community year after year. Along with two others, they meet regularly to review the details and assign tasks. As you can imagine, there are hundreds of details!!
